I have just purchased a gorgeous book "Paper Cutting - Contemporary Artists, Timeless Craft". Featuring work from 26 contemporary paper cutting artists, it showcases artistry of astonishing intricacy, using little more than paper, scalpel or scissors.
Following Natalie Avella's in-depth introduction, illuminating the rich history of this centuries-old art form, beautiful photography depicts works by Elsa Mora (my favourite), Kako Ueda, Emma van Leest, Su Blackwell, Helen Musselwhite, Hina Aoyama, and British favourite: Rob Ryan.
I'm not sure about my current fascination with this intricate artform, but this book really highlights the best from today's contemporary practitioners.
